A Message of Divine Infinite Love & Responsibility Creating

As we near the end of 2023 it´s a natural process to start reflecting upon what took place this year and what expectations are for the following year. 

As I reflect upon 2023 for me, it´s been one hell of a year. It´s been one of going deep into creation mode. Building many things. Testing them out to see if they worked. Upon reviewing I found myself rebuilding to tweak and make changes. And in some cases being pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the creation was in the first place. This whole process in itself required courage and vulnerability to undergo intense self analysis and make changes where necessary. 

I found the deeper I looked at myself and my creations I sometimes found things I never knew existed. Some of these discoveries were divine. Others, not so much and involved me letting go of what no longer served me. 

One of my bigger adventures of self discovery this year was going to Boom festival in Portugal. Boom is labeled a “Transformational Festival” with a focus on Trance Music. The theme this year at Boom was “Radical Self Love”. Perhaps that's why I was inspired to go because Trance music is absolutely not my type of music.

So there I was, in the Portuguese countryside, mid August heat, sitting at the Liminal Stage (which is a stage where change makers workshops and talks took place) waiting for the opening ceremony to commence. I was still wondering why I was at Boom until I heard the introduction of the opening speaker, Ashanti Kunene. 

Ashanti, or Shanti as she is more affectionately known with friends, is a South African poet, writer, activist, TEDx Speaker and founder of Learning 2 Unlearn. In my world, when I hear words that give me goosebumps, I know that it's real truth. From the instant that Shanti shared her opening lines of her monologue performance, held in concert with viola player Rita Carreiras, my whole body responded with goosebumps as I delighted in her 10 minute performance with pure delight.

I was so taken aback by Shanti´s ability to weave truth with unconditional love and wisdom, just like Mother Earth is always there for you beneath your feet when you are walking, that I had to connect with her afterwards.

What I love about Shanti is her unapologetic way of shining her light and making people aware that it's now time to start taking responsibility. To be honest, it's always been the right time, but I guess better put, it's now more important than ever to really start becoming conscious of what we are creating. 

After Boom dust had settled, Shanti was kind enough to sit down and record an interview with me to discuss in a deeper conversation her views on responsibly creating our own reality and how loved we truly are. One of my favourite lines of chat is “ You are so infinitely loved. That you take breath. That you wake up every morning, means you are held. It is not possible that all of creation is taken care of, by whatever infinite intelligence it is that has created us, and we are the only living things that are not taken care of in the same way? There´s no logic to that.”   

So as you go into the end of the year I would like to invite you to hold this line in your heart. As you set your intentions for 2024, tune them to this frequency of divine unconditional love so that you are accurately tuning into what you are able to indeed create.
